The Mutable Colors & Names of Things is a collection of writing that explores the confusion, curiosity, grief, love, and anguish that accompanies the loss of a loved one, in this case, my father. Compounded by complicated and painful family history, this work attempts to make sense of the senseless, the ancestral— what’s hidden. In conversation with other writers, MC&NT draws from the works of Inger Christensen, Yi-Fu Tuan, Etel Adnan, among others, as well as, touch points of science, culture, and etymology.
