Catie Hannigan (they/she) is a queer poet and visual artist whose work incorporates poetry, book-making, and installation.
Their books are The Mutable Colors & Names of Things (self-published 2023), MOON’S CABIN (dancing girl press 2019), Water Fragments (Tammy Journal 2017), and What Once Was There Is The Most Beautiful Thing (DIAGRAM 2015).
They have been awarded residencies at In Cahoots Residency, Stelo Arts, Haystack Mountain School of Crafts, Vashon Artist Residency, among others.
They most recently taught the Poetry Track of the Portfolio Program at the Independent Publishing Resource Center (2018-2023) and in the MFA program at PNCA, in Portland, OR.
They are also a Co-Creator of Win Win, a BIPOC & LGBTQIA+ restaurant group and serve on the Advisory Council of Stelo Arts. They completed a death doula certificate program in 2021 from Going with Grace.
